In my defense, work has been very busy and life has been as well. I did some work traveling in March (nothing exciting except it snowed in Massachusetts - AGAIN) and I have been making great use of grubhub. (See? not exciting).
We keep trying to talk about a vacation, but our discussions don't ever pan out - a big part of that is location - I love the beach but prefer to go in October because the Delaware beaches in early October are empty and the water is still warm! It is also cheaper because it is off season. But no one goes on vacation in October, so we would just be hanging out with each other and we already do that. A LOT. I really don't want to fly anywhere and he really doesn't want us to spend a lot of money....which brings me back to Delaware in October but he doesn't seem thrilled. I'll let you know how it ends up.
Michael has been offered some garden space (as much as he wants) but it will require a lot of traveling to tend it and I can't tell if he is interested or not - either way, a decision has to be made because we have to let the person know if we want to use the space!
I need to be more creative and more active but so far..... seriously what the heck is wrong with me? (that's a darn fine question.....)
Oh - I did join Instagram! It is a lot of fun in a voyeuristic sort of way but what I like about it the most (other then it is sort of fun) is that it is good censor-posting practice. By this I mean that I have to think before I post and if I'm taking a photo to post, I have to make sure it's the right size/composition/content before I take it AND I have to be sure that what I write is also appropriate so I don't make myself look like an idiot. All this in a snippet!
My Aunt hosted another 'geneology' get together this past weekend. Its a good opportunity for family to share what they have learned and sort out what information is correct and what isn't. Plus I get to see folks I normally don't see and best of all? I get to collect some good old fashioned family gossip - some of it straight from people who were on the scene when it happened! What I also love is spending some time (and hearing the stories) of the 80+ folks in the family - they are so generous to share their stories and I enjoy them (whether or not I have heard them before).
So - keep your eyes open for better blogging this season!
Take good care of yourselves - and each other!
